This sprawling Echinocereus triglochidiatus can spread with multiple stems to more than one meter wide. It produces show stopping scarlet red flowers in the spring. It is widely distributed throughout the west Texas and New Mexico. This version has few spines and was grown in full desert sun. It is cold hardy to at least the teens. The stems turn red in the winter. You are selecting the plant pictured.
