Fouquieria MacDougalii Ancient Ocotillo Succulent MD

Unlike the Ocotillo (Fouquieria splendens), Fouquieria MacDougalii grows many branches to form more of a bush shape. The striated trunk and branches of Fouquieria MacDougalii are very attractive. The flowers of Fouquieria MacDougalii provide an important source of nectar for migrating hummingbirds. Fouquieria MacDougalii needs a little more water than the regular Ocotillo. It is one of the easier Fouquieria to get to bloom in container. Fouquieria MacDougalii growth habit is irregular and develops a short thick trunk.
