It
was selected for its strong white markings on the leaves. Agave
parviflora is probably the most beautiful of the small agaves, reaching
a maximum width of only 10 inches. It can live in a two gallon pot for
the duration of it life. At maturity, it will have a leaf count of
about 100. Its very slow growing and can not handle over watering.
Occasionally, it may pup. But, it will remain a close friend of yours
for 10 to 15 years. Agave parviflora is a small thick leaved rosette that stays single or has one or two pups. Agave parviflora is fairly cold hardy, enjoys afternoon shade in the low deserts, and full sun elsewhere. Agave parviflora has a tall flower stalk with yellow flowers after many years. The rosette remains alive for a couple of years after flowering. You are selecting the plant size pictured below.
