Espostoa guentheri Gold Spines Makes Cephalium Columnar Cactus

Espostoa guentheri is a columnar cactus with gold spines from Bolivia, South America. It can grow 2 meters (7 feet) tall, with each stem being 4 inches (10 cm) wide. The Espostoa guentheri has a brownish lateral cephalium, with reddish-brown bristles and hairs, up to 2.5 inch thick (6.2 cm). The yellowish flowers come in early summer and measure 1.2 inches in diameter (3 cm). This cactus was previously named Vatricania guentheri.
